Oh, I forgot to tell you

We are junking the Skyline. The autoport told us that the radiator needed to be overhauled (whatever that means), the waterpump needed to be replaced and it needed new hoses too, I think. Anyway, it was going to cost us over $1000. We only spent $700 on it and were going to sell it for that much. The woman (an ET3 I think) that was gong to buy it is married with a very young daughter. Plus, the inspection was going to expire in October and it would never pass! Fortunately it won't cost us much, but we are loosing a lot of money on it.
We get our new car back on friday but can't drive it until monday when we take it to get the Japanese inspection. Then we will FINALLY have a car to drive.

  1. New car? What new car? What did you get? Think it'll last longer than the Skyline? Bet you guys really miss that little Hyundai about now, huh? Sorry, that doesn't help! Good luck with the new car, whatever it is. XXOOX Mom/Tracy

  2. Aren't owning cars just lots of fun : ) If you were here we could buy a new radiator and some new hoses and have you back on the road in nothing flat.
Where's Gale when you need him!

Sometimes what seems like a bargin really isn't, better luck next time. You can buy a lemon at any price, even brand new. You just have a newer lemon. We know.

  3. I know this a bit late but next time before you buy a used vehicle take it to a shop and have it checked out. If the owner won't let you then don't buy it. It might cost a few dollars to get it checked out but it might be better than getting stuck. You still might get a lemon but at least you always know you did all you could.

    Good Luck and Happy Trails
