Qualified!

Greetings everyone! I know it's a little late but I want to tell everyone that I am now an officially qualified Surface Warfare Officer! I had my board this past Saturday and then I got pinned on Sunday after we pulled in. The best part of it all was that Lori was able to not only be there, but she got to pin me! Anyway, once I have some more pictures, I'll post them.

  2. Congratulations, Now for us non-Navy people what does this mean? I'm sure it's very important to a Navy career.
    Anyhow Danny sure looks good!!

I'm so glad Lori can be part of everything important every step of the way. As they say "behind every good man is a good woman" how true, right Danny.

    Again congratulations!!

  4. For those who don't know, this is a major career milestone. I've been told that even Admirals still remember the day they received their SWO pin. Basically, it means that I'm competent enough to drive the ship safely and properly "fight the ship" so to speak if we were ever in a combat situation. I'm just glad that Lori was able to be there; it really meant a lot and made it so much more memorable.

  6. Yes, even though it happened, what 24 years ago? Dad still remembers when he got his dolphins, the submarine equivalent. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, and you did it! XXOOX Mom/Tracy
