I just called Yokota to verify that my name was on the space available list. Of course it was not. Why am I not surprised? They said that my chances of getting on the flight are slim to none. Great. What now?

I suppose by misplacing your paperwork (their fault!) Your chances are about zero to be on the plane unless the person in front of you, that has a seat, would meet with a bad accident. Not suggesting, just checking the odds.
Oh sweetie, that just blows! I wish there was something we could do. All I can suggest is to keep checking and hoping for the best. The military's good about that. :-(
