Scooters in Japan

I found this video on youtube. You only have to watch about a minute of it (please don't waste your time watching all 12 minutes of it), but it really is how scooters and motorcycles drive on the roads and it is completely legal. This is why Danny hates them so much. They come out of nowhere and can scare the crap out of you.
BTW, he is driving on the express way.

    Accidents probably don't happen as often as you think. I haven't seen anything involving scooters since we've been here. Mostly it is bicycle incidents.
    Interesting story though... I was stuck in really bad traffic one night trying to get to Yokosuka. We were stopped in a tunnel when an ambulance tried to come through. It was really difficult to move over because the tunnel was so narrow. After the ambulance passed there was a whole huge group of motorcycles and scooters behind it taking advantage of the gap in traffic. Kinda made me angry.

    Looks a lot like motorcycles in Los Angles.
    And yes they do startle the heck out of you.
    Makes you think about opening the door doesn't it (Please Don't)
