For all those awaiting phone calls, don't be surprised if you don't get one right away. There hasn't been any progress so I'm going into the hospital at 6 am. Danny will likely be the one making the calls. Since you know I'll be induced, we probably won't call when I start having contractions. The new grandparents will get a call as soon as possible after she is born. There are a few other calls we'll make slightly later. Don't be surprised if you get a call from Tracy though.
If you can't stand not having information, feel free to call Labor & Delivery at the hospital. Just call 011-81-46-816-7144 (Naval Hospital Quarterdeck) and ask to be transferred to Labor & Delivery or 3AOB. Sorry I don't have the exact number on me right now.
Well, I gotta get back to the room and ready for tomorrow. Its gonna be a big day.

Well it's 5 after 4 here and 5 after 8 there, so something should be going on by now. Hope they keep you and baby on monitor.

We just left the kids at 2030 15 Sept here. (0430 14 Sept there) Lori was doing fine, very tired, but was trying to get rest between contractions. (The epidural seemed to help). Petocin was started, delivery is expected here in the wee hours. Father to be isn't exactly sure what to do to help. :-) He'll learn fast and they will too.

Great news everyone. Danny called at around 0300 (16 Sept-Japan) (1100-15 Sept Wa. time) Lori and Danny had their baby girl!!!
ReplyDelete6 lbs 3 oz. Melanie Rose length?? at 0246 16 Sept Tokyo time.
The delivery sounds like it was a tough one. Melanie was delivered by cesarean section but Mom and baby girl were doing fine. We can't wait to get down there and see them. :-)

Just for the record, Dan was the one who wrote the updates. I was trying to keep Mocha happy. She's a pretty confused little kitty right now. Just wait until Melanie Rose comes home, it's going to blow her little kitty mind! lol
