Harry Potter!

DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for any information you will read here, even if I did write. It is not guaranteed that I will not give away any information about the newest Harry Potter movie. If you don't want me to spoil anything for you then stop reading! I hope that anyone as obsessed as me will already know what happened in the movie because they've already read the book and/or seen the movie. In case I never mentioned it before, I am one of the many nearly insane Harry Potter fans.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, I (literally) just got home from seeing the 5th Harry Potter movie and I have to say that it was the most amazing movie I have ever seen. Sure I've got small complaints, but all-in-all AMAZING!! I loved the special effects, especially the fight scene in the end first with the Death Eaters and then the fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort. The part where Fred and George set off fireworks was especially good too. I believe there was a new director for this movie and I wholeheartedly approve. The visuals were amazing. Oh, forgot to mention that I really loved the night shots of London. Very beautiful. My only complaint is that I really like the original Harry Potter song (mainly the music from the first movie) and I would have liked to see that more (or rather, hear).
So, for the important part... All I have to say about Daniel Radcliffe (aka Harry Potter) is wow! There is something about the character that has always pulled on my heart and to me, Radcliffe is Harry Potter. There are times I just want to reach into the screen, or book, and just kiss him. He really has changed a lot since the first movie and in a totally good way.
Sorry Danny, you know how it is. Don't take it personally! :)
Oh, I could go on forever...
Maybe I should just leave it at that because I may ruin the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. J.K. Rowling is so talented and I am amazed at her ability to create a world out of a book that people never want to leave. I can't count the number of times I've just wanted to be sucked into the story and be a part of it forever. So, some people may think I am crazy, but I know there is someone out there who understands what I mean.
By the end of next few weeks I will be able to read the last book. It feels so daunting and I just don't know if I can take it. Sure, I can read the stories over again as many times as I like, but its just not the same when you already know what happened. I am sad it is the end. I will say how I feel about the book when I am done, but I promise not to say what happens. Someone might get mad at me...
After I finish the book then I've got to wait until November of 2008 before the next movie comes out. Darn it. Why did they have to put the movie and book release dates so close together?!

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie too. I'm continually impressed at what a great job they do with them. They could probably rest on their laurels and sort of let it slide, but they don't, just like J. K. Rowling refuses to with her books. I keep waiting to be disappointed, but so far, have not been. I'm sure the only disappointment I'll feel with the last book is that it IS the last.

I understand exactly how you feel about the series, that's the beauty of reading. The ability to completely lose yourself in another world is something magical to me. I can hardly wait until you and I have both finished the last HP and can compare notes. :-)

  2. Interesting how you feel such a tug toward Radcliffe (Harry) remember when your G. Grandma met Danny and her remark how he reminded her of Harry Potter, could that be a look alike going on? But yes the actor just has a next-door appeal to him, and makes you want to hug him.
When you read the book, send me the ending please, email, I do want to know but not read the book or wait for a movie.
I am sorry to see the books end, I know my mystery writers do this continueing story line in their books and I really look forward to a new book every year, I would hate to see them end.
