Japan extension
This isn't official yet, but I want to let everyone else know that Danny is extending in Japan for an extra year. He will stay on his ship, but get a second job at the end of his original 27 month tour. We will leave Japan in the October of 2009 instead of 2008. This also means that we get to go to his shore duty 6 months earlier than most other people since this second tour is 12 months instead of 18 months.
We really like it here in Japan and am excited about staying a little longer.

Sounds like a great opportunity, but of course we wish you guys were closer. But like someone said

It'll be tough having you guys so far away even longer, but if you're going to do it, nows the time. You both seem to be having a great time and really taking advantage of the culture. Plus, this gives me more time to save $ and maybe come visit one summer! ;-)

With instant(more or less) communication I just pretend you are still in Bellingham, it makes it easier to not miss you both. We all knew when you took this job, the Navy, that we would not see you very much, even if you were next door.
